How we handle your information when you browse, contact us or order from Rubaris. Last updated 8 September 2026.
Rubaris is an Australian-operated store. Reach us any time at support [at] rubaris [dot] com.
In this policy, “Rubaris”, “we”, “us” and “our” means the operator of the Rubaris store and the controller of your personal information:
Our full trading details, including the postal address, are set out on the warranty page.
This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store and protect personal information when you:
When you place an order, contact us or request support, we may collect: name; email address; phone number; billing address; shipping address; order details; payment confirmation details; customer support messages; return, refund and warranty information; safety or product issue information; and marketing preferences, if you subscribe.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information unless it is necessary to handle a specific request, safety issue, legal issue or support matter.
When you use our website, we may receive limited technical and usage information, including: device type; browser type; operating system; pages viewed; referring pages; approximate location; interaction data; cookie consent choices; website performance data; and IP-related technical data processed by hosting, security and analytics providers.
We use your information to:
We do not sell your personal information.
If UK or EU privacy law applies, we rely on the following legal bases:
You can withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
We use cookies and similar technologies to run the store, remember choices, secure checkout, measure website performance and understand how visitors use the site.
This depends on the privacy rules where you are. We work that out from the country your connection appears to come from, and we store only the answer to a single yes-or-no question — whether opt-in applies to you — rather than your location.
United Kingdom, European Economic Area and Switzerland. Nothing non-essential runs until you choose Accept. Analytics, advertising measurement and the Meta Pixel stay off until then, and ignoring the banner leaves them off.
Everywhere else, including Australia and the United States. Analytics and advertising measurement start when the page loads. The banner tells you so and carries an equally prominent opt-out; choosing it stops them and deletes the cookies they have set.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat that as an opt-out wherever you are and do not show the banner at all.
If we cannot tell where you are, we apply the opt-in rules.
Essential cookies are used to make the website, cart, checkout, security and consent settings work. These are necessary for the store to function.
With your consent, we use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors interact with our website. Clarity may collect information such as page interactions, clicks, scrolls, mouse movements, page rendering data, device information, browser information and approximate location, and may provide heatmaps, session replay and usage insights.
We use Clarity to improve website usability, detect problems and understand how visitors experience the store. We configure Clarity to reduce unnecessary personal information collection, including masking sensitive fields where available.
Where opt-in applies, Clarity cookies and full analytics are enabled only after you accept. Elsewhere they start with the page and stop if you opt out. You can change your choice at any time through “Cookie settings” in the website footer.
Do not enter sensitive personal information into free-text fields unless it is necessary for your request.
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to measure how the store is used — visits, pages viewed, traffic sources, product interest and purchases.
The same Google Analytics property also runs on Shopify’s checkout domain, so we can understand orders that start on our website and finish at checkout.
If you accept analytics cookies, we also allow Google to use this measurement data for Google advertising features: measuring whether a Google ad led to a visit or a purchase (conversion measurement) and, where Google’s own settings enable them, ad personalisation and aggregated cross-device insights (Google Signals). We do not upload customer lists to Google. You can turn these advertising features off at any time by choosing Reject in “Cookie settings” in the website footer, and you can separately control ad personalisation in your Google account’s ad settings.
Where opt-in applies, Google Analytics stores nothing on your device and uses no advertising identifiers until you accept. Google’s tag loads in “consent mode”, which may send limited, cookieless technical signals to Google (such as the fact that a page loaded) before you make a choice; full measurement, cookies and the advertising features described above run only after you accept. Elsewhere they start with the page, and choosing Opt out returns the tag to that same cookieless state.
With your consent, we use the Meta Pixel to measure our advertising on Facebook and Instagram — whether an ad led to a visit, which products were viewed, and when a visitor started checkout.
Unlike our other tools, the Meta Pixel is never loaded in a held-back state: the file is requested from Meta only once measurement is actually permitted. Where opt-in applies, that means no request reaches Meta at all if you reject or ignore the banner. Elsewhere the pixel loads with the page, and choosing Opt out stops it and deletes its cookies. Activity from before a pixel loads is never sent afterwards. On these pages — the policies and the contact page — it does not run at all.
Where you have accepted, Meta may set cookies on this website (including _fbp) and use the data to measure our ads, to build audiences for our advertising and, under Meta’s own terms, for its own purposes. If you later choose Reject in “Cookie settings”, we instruct the pixel to stop and delete those cookies.
The pixel also uses Meta’s advanced matching. If you enter an email address into the reminder form, the pixel converts it into an irreversible hash in your browser and sends that hash with the event, so that Meta can match the visit to a Meta account. The address itself is not sent. Where you have rejected or opted out nothing is sent at all, because the pixel does not run.
Purchases are reported by Shopify’s own connection to Meta at checkout, not from this website. You can control ad personalisation in your Facebook or Instagram account settings.
Our Shopify store is connected to Facebook and Instagram through Meta’s official Shopify channel. This connection is between our store and Meta rather than through your browser, so it does not depend on the cookie choice you make on this website.
Through it, Meta receives our product catalogue and information about orders placed with us, so that products can be shown on Facebook and Instagram and so that completed purchases can be attributed to our advertising. Where an order is involved this can include the customer information needed to match that purchase, such as an email address or phone number, which Meta receives in hashed form.
We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate website traffic and performance. It does not use third-party cookies for visitor tracking, and helps us understand pages viewed, traffic sources and basic performance information.
We also use Vercel Speed Insights to measure how quickly pages load and respond. It records the page address, the browser, device type and operating system, the network speed, the country your connection appears to come from, and the loading measurements themselves. Vercel states that these measurements are not tied to an individual visitor or IP address and cannot be linked together across pages.
We do not intentionally send sensitive personal information, email addresses, order numbers, payment details, access tokens or private message content to Vercel Analytics.
You can manage your cookie choices through “Cookie settings” in the website footer. You can also control cookies through your browser settings.
If you reject non-essential cookies, the store should still work, but some analytics and experience-improvement tools will not run.
We share personal information only where needed to run the store, fulfil orders, provide support, comply with the law or protect the business. This may include sharing information with:
We only share the information reasonably needed for the relevant purpose.

If you subscribe to marketing emails or messages, we may use your name, email address, phone number and marketing preferences to send updates, offers or product information.
You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in the message or by contacting us. We do not send marketing where consent is required unless we have that consent.
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, including order fulfilment; customer support; warranty and returns; fraud prevention; product safety; legal, tax and accounting records; dispute handling; and business reporting.
Order and transaction records may be kept for the period required by tax, accounting and consumer laws.

To exercise a right, contact us at support [at] rubaris [dot] com. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We may refuse, delay or limit a request where allowed by law, including where we need to keep information for legal, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, product safety or dispute reasons.

If you are not satisfied with our response to a privacy complaint, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
If UK or EU privacy law applies, you may have rights under UK GDPR or EU GDPR. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
If California privacy law applies to us, California residents may have rights to know, access, correct, delete and opt out of certain uses of personal information. We do not sell personal information for money. Our advertising measurement may count as “sharing” under California law: you can opt out at any time through “Cookie settings” in the website footer, and we honour the Global Privacy Control browser signal automatically.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
